Sanskrit
Complete text with a mandala drawing on the cover page, including Nepali title and date. The Vajraśūcī's authorship is uncertain but it is often ascribed to the 2nd Century AD Brahman Buddhist scholar Ashvaghosha (Aśvaghoṣa), who was the author of the famous Buddhacarita (Life of Buddha). The Vajraśūcī, popular for its argument that true Brahmanhood depends on attaining realisation of Brahman (the absolute) rather than on birth or one's actions in life, is normally classified among the Vedas. For a Farsi translation, see [vol 102/13 fol.74-78] .
