A receipt for the arrival of six boxes (of manuscripts or specimens?) in London despatched through Calcutta and sent by Hodgson for H. Paddington; the verso of this folio has some information on the legal system, mutilation and capital punishment, with details of six officials who received penalties such as amputation of ears and tongue or exile. This might refer to the incident of April 1843 in which several of the Kala Pandes and their allies were executed for conspiracy to bring about the death of Bhimsen Thapa[Stiller_1981: 195-196].

Bill for Nepali Rupees 79.30 (calculated as equivalent to Indian Rupees 61.12) for a total of 1,012 bundles (ḍhyāp) of Nepali paper (10 sheets in one bundle at the rate of Rupees 10/- and Rupees 14/- per bundle), 3 pieces of wax cloth and thread and twine (wax cloth Rupees 13/- and thread and twine /03 paisā), cross reference, Item 8, ff. 128-130 and ff. 179-182 of this volume, technique of manufacture of Nepali paper.
The verso of this folio has a brief note on battalions (palṭan) in the Nepal army: the two Srī Gorakhs with 1,400 soldiers and the Sri-Jangan with 700 in Khotang and Dhankuta and 400 each in Makwanpur and Pyuthan (Piuṭhānā).
The Sri Jangan is not mentioned in Smith's 1843 Army Return [vol 07/02 fol.3-30] . He does list Naya Gorakh and Purana Gorakh as units of the Kathmandu Garrison with a combined strength of about 1,080.

Related to the "Education of the People of India", not included in [Hodgson_1880:II, 259-348] with other letters on this topic. Philo Junius was a pseudonym employed by a famous letter writer of the 18th century and Hodgson borrowed it for his letters to the press. This document may be Hodgson's draft of a letter that was not actually published.
